Three Campsites and a Wedding

After a few days at Lake Tahoe celebrating a family wedding Hilda and I spent a week in our trailer at a family campout at Eagle Lake in Northern California. At the end of the week, rather than heading home where temperatures had been in the 100's, we headed for the coast. Finally at home, I packed up for an intense weekend of paddling with a kayaking group.

  1. It's always fun to recognize places; last summer we hiked through Desolation Wilderness and took a boat ride to the trail across Echo Lake. It's quite an involved hike, in the summer heat.

I miss the ocean, but that will soon be remedied with a trip there next week!

    1. Although we can just see Pyramid Peak from here, I've not taken advantage enough of the hiking and photography opportunities in Desolation - hope to remedy that soon!

  2. Very enjoyable post, plus I'm currently thinking about buying a '60s Tippa that, so that was interesting too. :)

  3. Those Tippas that I've tried all seem to have a very liquid-like sound I like a lot. very unique sound signature.

And dang, you sure know where to go to get away from the heat! Beautiful shots! :D

  4. Hey! Lovely photos, and excellent choice of typewriter. I put that model Tippa in my top 10 all-time great machines.
