  1. Looks like the paint has survived in a brighter, nicer condition than usual.

Ribbon reverse should be automatic. Something needs fixing.

    1. Scrubbing Bubbles does wonders. Also careful posing to hide the dime-sized nick to bare metal on the right front. Someone suggested mixing nail polish colors to dab on a close match, which I'll try when I get around to it. Yes, seems like reversal out to be automatic, but I could find no linkage to make that happen. With your encouragement I'll look again. Such a nice typer - would be nice to have everything tidy and right.

  3. Ribbon jumper... I like it! And that blue is stunning. It really looks amazingly bright.

  4. Very nice machine! I've always wanted to try one of this model, but so far it has eluded me. I know they sold them in Mexico, but I'm still waiting for the proper allignment of the stars that will allow me to buy one. Maybe some day.

I had to try tying the knot (literally!) around a ribbon spool with a broken tab. Indeed it works; but it would definitely be advisable to wear disposable gloves for that kind of job. Or make sure to keep your hands away from your clothes. XD

  6. I have a Tower President made by Sears, which is just a carbon-copy of the Super Silent. It's by far one of my favorite portables.
